Get a phone call for 'production down' or a P1 alert, in Slack or email
Pager tools are built for on-call rotations with a budget. If you're the person who gets the "site is down" email at midnight with no pager, this watch is the pager.
It reads Gmail and your Slack notifications for an incident (your words: "production down", "P1", "customers can't log in"), phones you, and sends a summary of the thread so far. Alerts that aren't a P1 go to the Shortlist.

- Works onAndroid · iPhone with PinG
iPhone note. iOS doesn't let an app read other apps' notifications in the background, so on iPhone this watch needs OLL.E PinG, a keyring that relays them and rings on its own speaker. On Android nothing extra is needed.
Set it up
- Install OLL.E and connect Gmail. For Slack: on Android grant notification access; on iPhone pair the PinG keyring (Gmail works on iPhone without it).
- Tap Monitor Now and type the sentence with your team's words for an incident and the channels or senders that count.
- Pick Phone call and Summarise the thread.
Questions about this watch
Does it replace PagerDuty or Opsgenie?
For a team with a rotation, escalation and acknowledgements, no. For one person or a small team whose alerts arrive by email and Slack, it does the part that matters at night: a phone call, with a summary of what broke.
Will it call for every Slack mention?
No. It reads the message. "A P1, an outage, or a customer who can't log in" rings; a joke in #random doesn't.
Does the Slack part work on iPhone?
With the PinG keyring, which relays Slack notifications. The Gmail part works on iPhone with nothing extra.
Can it also create a ticket or forward to someone?
It can forward the email to a colleague or add a calendar event as part of the same watch. Creating tickets in tools like Jira is not live yet.
